GRAND RAPIDS,Mich. -- As Grand Rapids Police continue to investigate a deadly shooting that happened Sunday morning, friends and family of the victim gathered Tuesday night to remember his life and to pray for a stop to violence in that area.

Terence Hollis, 32, was shot at about 2:46 a.m. in the parking lot of the Chicken Coop at 1156 S. Division Avenue in Grand Rapids. He was rushed to the hospital and later died.

Tuesday night, family and friends gathered in the area where Hollis was shot. They shared stories about Hollis and also prayed for peace, hoping the violence will end.

Stasia Woods, mother of Hollis' child, had a message for the person responsible: "I really hope you have the courage to turn yourself in. If it was a fight, you should have left it at a fight. You should have not taken this man away from this world."
