NorthPointe Christian falls to Flint Beecher in the class C state championship game

EAST LANSING, Mich —  Beecher beat NorthPointe Christian, 78-52, to win the class C state championship.  The Bucs ran out to a 28-9 lead after one quarter thanks to 57% shooting and forcing 6 Mustang turnovers.

NorthPointe was never able to recover, the closest they got was 33-17 midway through the 2nd quarter after a 7-0 run.

Senior forward Kual Nhial led NorthPonte Christian (21-6) with 16 points, junior forward Tyler Baker added 14 points.

Beecher (26-1)was led by senior forward Cedaric Moten who led all scorers with 24 points, senior guard Sam Toins and junior forward Aquavius both scored 17 points.

The state title was the 4th for Beecher and the 3rd in the last 4 years.
