2 facing charges in Kentwood vandalism investigation

Bus Stop damaged near 44th Street & Breton Road

KENTWOOD – The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office is pursuing charges against two people following a series of BB gun shootings that caused damage to a school and buses in Kentwood.

Authorities say Lamarrie Davis and another unnamed juvenile are the two people facing charges in the case.

Two windows at Crestwood Middle School were broken, along with glass on Rapid buses and bus stops following a series of shootings starting March 22.

All the incidents occurred in the area of 44th Street & Walma Avenue.

No serious injuries were reported in any of the incidents.

The severity of the charges the suspects are facing are unclear prior to arraignment, which is expected in the near future.
