WYOMING, Mich. — A Wyoming Crime Lab technician has resigned after police say he lied about his education and qualifications.

According to Wyoming Police Chief James Carmody, Anthony Dilley was lying when he said that he completed online courses necessary for his job.

Dilley was initially placed on leave Feb. 9 and later resigned, Carmody said.  On his LinkedIn page, he claims to be the Wyoming Crime Lab Manager, which officials also say is false.

Carmody said Dilley’s resignation will not impact any cases.
