‘Strong odor’ prompts evacuation at Wyoming school

WYOMING, Mich. — Wyoming Police say Lee High School was evacuated Wednesday morning after a “strong odor” was reported.

According to a release, the odor was likely pepper spray, and it was contained to a small area of the school.

The building was ventilated and the school day resumed normally, police said in a release.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.  Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Wyoming Police at 616-530-7300 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
