WEST MICHIGAN — Live updates from the FOX 17 Weather Team

Areas of West Michigan aren’t out of the clear, as mild temperatures are expected to mix with a cold front from the East after midnight.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Clare, Clinton, Eaton, Gratiot, Hillsdale, Ingham, Ionia, Isabella, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Osceola, Ottawa, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties until 3 a.m. Friday.

Many areas of West Michigan have picked up 1-2 inches of rain during the last 24 hours. Some locations close to 3 inches.

Waiting for our next line of storms that are currently in Illinois. Storms in the Quad Cities have produced a few tornadoes including this one in Rochelle
