CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. —  One person was treated for minor injuries after a crash Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 5:45 p.m. on Cleveland near 124th Avenue in Crockery Township between Nunica and Spring Lake.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said the 21- year-old driver told police they were reaching in the backseat to grab a baby bottle when the crash happened. Police said the vehicle veered off the road, hit a sign, and then struck a culvert.

A 19-year-old passenger was sitting in the backseat and received minor injuries.  They were treated at the scene and released, police added.
