Man goes to sell collectible Nike shoes; Buyer robs him of shoes & cash

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A man who tried to sell some expensive, collectible Nike shoes ended up getting robbed by the prospective buyer late Sunday night in Battle Creek.

It happened in the area of Harvard Street and Anderson Court at around 11:30 p.m.

Police say the victim was meeting someone who wanted to buy the pair of shoes.  The seller and buyer met up in a driveway, but while the exchange was going on, two more men armed with a handgun approached them .

The three suspects robbed the seller of his Nike shoes as well as some cash, then ran off.

No suspects are in custody at this time.

    The suspects are described as 3 black males between the ages of 18 and 25. They were illegally carrying stolen guns and all 3 have a long criminal history.
