Meth components found in Hastings home; One man arrested

HASTINGS, Mich. — A Hastings Police detective discovered components for making methamphetamines in the garage of a home he was visiting for an unrelated reasons. A 31-year-old man was arrested.

The discovery was made around 10:30 a.m. Monday, and the detective called Michigan State Police Meth Responders who helped with the cleanup.

The components were located in the unattached garage of the home in the 400 block of E. Madison Street, and there was no sign meth was made in the home, said a police statement.

Charges are pending a review by the Barry County Prosecutors Office.
