KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The manager of the Checkers restaurant at 575 E. Michigan Avenue in Kalamazoo was stabbed during a robbery, but he managed to subdue the robber until police arrived.
The robbery took place around shortly after midnight Wednesday when a 21-year-old Kalamazoo man tried to rob the restaurant. He stabbed the manager during a struggle, police said. The injured manager was treated at Bronson Hospital and released.
The manager held the suspect until police arrived.
