CHICAGO — With their first round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions got a 2015 fifth-round pick, a 2016 fifth-round pick, and their 2007 fourth-round pick.

Oh, and they drafted an All-American guard with a degree in evolutionary anthropology.

A trade with the Denver Broncos for the 23rd overall pick got the Lions Duke guard Laken Tomlinson , those two fifth-rounders, and former Lion Manny Ramirez on Thursday night.

Tomlinson was a four-year starter for the Blue Devils, helping Duke reach new levels of success as a football program — winning the 2013 ACC Championship and three bowl games during his career in Durham.

Ramirez has been the starting center in Denver since 2013. He played in Detroit from 2007-2010.
