ST. JOSEPH, Mich. — A St. Joseph Public Schools teacher is facing multiple criminal sexual conduct charges after allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with one of her students.
According to the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety, 26-year-old Lauren Ashley Hill is facing two counts of second-degree and two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
St. Joseph Superintendent Ann Cardon said in a release that high school parents contacted school officials April 29 about the alleged inappropriate relationship.
Cardon said school officials interviewed Hill and then her on paid leave before contacting police. Hill resigned May 1, according to a release.
