COOPERSVILLE, Mich. - A playground at Coopersville's Veterans Park is in the process of getting some changes as 16-year-old Tyler Young focuses on it as part of his Eagle Scout project.

Young, who credits his brother BJ as his inspiration, says he's hoping to turn it into an, "able playground," where children with disabilities can safely play.

Young says the project is expected to cost about $30,000 and he's already raised about a third of the money.

So far, a swing for children in wheelchairs has been installed and several other changes are coming as well.

For more information on upcoming benefits, head to Young's Facebook page.

If interested, donations can be sent to Coopersville Recreation at 289 Danforth St., Coopersville, MI 49404 attn. Eagle Project.
