MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — A 43-year-old Muskegon County man is accused of sexually assaulting three young girls.

Robert Ruppel is currently being held on a count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two other unspecified sex offenses, online jail records show.

All three of the victims are under 13 years old,  according to the Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J Hilson.    One of the victims is also related to Ruppel,  Hilson said.

Ruppel was arraigned on the first-degree CSC charge earlier this month.   Charges in the other two cases are the result of a 2014 investigation, Hilson said.

Ruppel was arrested in Arizona and extradited back to Michigan to face charges, according to Hilson.
