Police: Five injured in Wyoming crash

WYOMING CRASH

WYOMING, Mich.– Five people were injured in a crash Saturday evening.

Police said the crash happened just after 6:00 p.m. near 32nd St. and Buchanan Ave SW. They said it occurred in the intersection when, according to witnesses, a 1994 Saturn ran a red light and made contact with a 2007 GMC Acadia.  The two vehicles reportedly came to a rest near the north west corner of the intersection.

There were three people inside the Saturn- all of which had to be extricated from the vehicle.  They are reportedly being treated at area hospitals in critical condition.

The two people inside the Acadia were also taken to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.

Wyoming Public Safety will continue their investigation to determine what other factors may have contributed to the crash.

The names of those involved are not being released at this time so family members can be notified.
