KENT COUNTY, Mich. — It was a murder that shocked the small town of Gowen in September 2014 and now one of the suspects has been found guilty of actually killing the man.

Kent County Prosecuters say Jaman Parish was convicted of felony murder and five other charges in the death of 34-year-old Brent Luttrell.

Officials say Parish and a group of men broke into Lutrell’s Gowen area home in September 2014 and when the victim tried to get away he was stabbed and shot, then was dumped in the roadway. Parish also was found guilty on charges of  armed robbery, first-degree home invasion, felony firearms and fourth-degree being a habitual offender.

One of the other men involved, Christopher Duncan, also was sentenced to prison for his involvement. Kevin Berry, Issac Fezzey and Tyler Rohn await their day in court.

Prosecutors say Parish will be sentenced in June.
