Holland area man makes court appearance for deadly crash

HUDSONVILLE, Mich.-The man charged with the drunk driving crash that killed a Lenawee County man over the holiday weekend made his first appearance in court Tuesday.  Richard Rish of Lakeview was in the 58th District Court in Hudsonville via video conference, facing the charge of "Driving under the influence causing death" for the crash on Saturday, May 23rd along I-196 that killed Bernard Langmeyer.  Langmeyer and his wife Debra were in their car on the side of the road waiting for their tire to be repaired when they were struck by a car driven by Rish, who according to court records, had a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.

Rish is being held in the Ottawa County jail on a $50,000 bond and if convicted could face up to 15 years in prison.
