Kids receive books at Party in the Park

Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat meet fans at Bronson Park

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Dozens of kids hung out with Curious George and others at the Kalamazoo Public Library’s annual Party in the Park Wednesday.

The 18th annual event celebrates Stand for Children Day which holds a special story hour to focus on the importance of sharing books with kids.  The event hosted area preschoolers, parents, teachers and child care providers in Bronson Park.

Each child received a healthy snack, juice, and a gift book from the Kalamazoo Public Library.
