We're now fully into fishing season in Michigan and why not enjoy all of these lakes?

Meteorologist Kelly Smith talked with Scott at Al & Bob's Sports regarding new changes with fishing season. This is the first "Catch and Release" season.  This year, once the ice has thawed, you can start catching bass, but you have to immediately release them.

Also, at the start of the season, you should go into your tackle box and check your hooks. You don't want any rusty hooks. You should also check or replace your line. Some people replace it every two months, but generally once every two years is good.

And this week is beginning of the Big Bass Photo Contest on Al & Bob's Facebook page.  This week's winner is Ryan Heyboer of Grand Rapids.
