GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Steelcase has officially sold its iconic Pyramid building.

The structure at 4200 60th Street was purchased by Norman Pyramid LLC in Nevada.  According to Colliers International, Norman Pyramid also owns a 365,000 square foot building in Portage, which was the former Upjohn offices.

The company says there is no current plan for tenants to the building as they will begin upgrading and modernizing the property for future usage.

An educational group had originally attempted to buy the property, but in May, Steelcase terminated the deal.

Norman Pyramid LLC says possible tenants include education, health, research and large general office users with a need for open space planning.  They say they can hold the property while waiting for the right user.
