GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A boy with a BB gun prompted a brief lockdown at Harrison Park Elementary School Thursday, a Grand Rapids Public School spokesperson official tells FOX 17.
The situation started shortly after 1 p.m. Grand Rapids Police responded to the school after a report that a boy was carrying a gun outside the building. They later discovered it was a BB gun.
Harrison Park Elementary had a shortened day of school Thursday, and students were being dismissed at the time of the incident, the GRPS spokesperson said.
No injuries were reported.
