Father & daughter struck by car while mowing lawn

PAVILION TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man and his 7-year-old daughter were injured after being struck by a car while riding their lawnmower.

Deputies say the collision happened when a vehicle operated by a 74-year-old woman veered off the roadway near the 5400 block of E R Avenue and struck the rear of the riding mower.

The man, Michael Parker, and his 7-year-old daughter were both knocked off the mower.  He sustained serious injuries, while his daughter only minor injuries.
