Late innings do in Mattawan in semifinal

EAST LANSING, Mich -- Mattawan allowed 7 runs in the 5th and 6th innings and fell to Warren Regina, 7-1, in a division 1 softball state semifinal Friday at Secchia Stadium.

The Wildcats scored their only run of the game in the bottom of the 4th inning on an RBI double from Amber Mazahem to take a 1-0 lead.

Sarah Hillsburg doubled and scored for Mattwan, Alexis Taube also doubled for the Wildcats.

Mattawan finishes the season at 31-13.
