EAST LANSING -- Centreville starting pitcher Michael Kool didn't throw a no-hitter like he did in Tuesday's quarterfinal, but he struck out 10 and allowed just 2 hits as the Bulldogs beat Rudyard, 2-1, at Michigan State's McLane Stadium.

Kool also scored his teams first run in the first inning on an error during a steal attempt.  Jalen Brown singled home another run in  the 5th inning.

Rudyard scored it's only run in the top of the 6th on 2 walks, a sacrifice bunt and a bloop single from James Rosenbrock.

Kool retired the first 13 batters he face before a single from Owen Mills with 1 out in the 5th inning.

Centreville (29-1) advances to play the winner of Muskegon Catholic Central and Ubly in Saturday's 5 p.m. state championship game.
