GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Kids on Grand Rapids' southwest side will be getting a new playground today.
More than 300 volunteers from Amway, Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative (ELNC), organizers from KaBOOM! and residents of the Grand Rapids community are building the playground at Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative, 641 Vries SW, Grand Rapids.
Construction began at 9am. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held from 2:30-3pm.
The playground is the 17th built by Amway and KaBOOM!
