According to the press release, Kronemeyer was heading eastbound on Douglas Ave towards work. A vehicle heading westbound on Douglas crossed the center line of the road and hit Kronemeyer’s vehicle head on.

Deputies state that the driver of the other vehicle, 21-year-old Richard Mancha, was going to an area residence after having been up all night. There were three passengers in his vehicle.

Mancha and two of the passengers, 20-year-old Laura Castillo and 23-year-old Patricia Peralas, exited the vehicle after the crash  before police were on the scene.
