GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Local children are getting to play ball and have a nutritious meal at the same time. Following baseball and softball games, the non-profit Kids' Food Basket is distributing meals through the YMCA to children who may have not had much to eat that day.
"It`s just beautiful," said parent Jason Potts. "There's more to it than charity. It's a feeling of community and supporting our citizens it`s a great thing
Since July 2014, Kids' Food Basket has served nearly one million meals in the Grand Rapids and Muskegon areas.
