Dangerous swimming conditions posted for Lake Michigan Thursday

MUSKEGON, Mich. – A Beach Hazards statement has been issued by the National Weather Service for dangerous swimming conditions in Lake Michigan today.

West winds at 15-30 miles per hour are expected to build 3-5 foot waves through mid-afternoon.  Conditions will get better after 4:00pm.

Strong structural and longshore currents are possible, as are rip currents.
