KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. – The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in identifying a suspect in a purse snatching last week.

The incident happened on July 26 just before 1:00am in the 4300 block of Gull Prairie. Deputies say the suspect grabbed a woman’s purse and dragged her.  He fled in a maroon or red SUV.  He is described as being black, about 5’9″ or 5’10” tall, skinny, young, with no facial hair, wearing dark jeans, a gray t-shirt and a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.
