KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A former Kalamazoo County assistant prosecutor has pleaded guilty to driving drunk.

Paige Timmer, 27, made the plea Friday afternoon to one charge of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury.  In exchange for the plea, the Van Buren County Prosecutor says she won’t serve more than 60 days in jail.  She has no prior criminal record.  She will be sentenced September 28.

The crash that brought the charges was March 14 on Stadium Drive near West Lovell Street in Kalamazoo.   Both her and the other driver were seriously injured in the crash.

Timmer was fired from the prosecutor’s office on April 1 after being suspended after the crash.
