Lansing family loses everything in explosion caught on video

LANSING, Mich. - The family who lived in a home that exploded Aug. 2 is telling the story behind their miraculous escape.

Gene Dockstader, his fiancee and their 3-month-old baby girl live in the home that exploded after a car had run into their home, rupturing a gas line.  The family had left the home for less than a minute when it exploded.

A police cruiser got to the scene moments before the gas line exploded, destroying the home.  The explosion was caught on the cruiser's dashboard camera.
