BIRCH RUN, Mich. — Organizers for the Tuesday event sponsored by the Republican parties of Saginaw and Genesee counties said they expected more than 2,000 people to attend the event with Donald Trump slated as the keynote address speaker.

Hot off his performance at Thursday’s GOP debate in Cleveland, and ensuing feud with FOX News hosts who moderated the debate, presidential hopeful Donald Trump will address the crowd at aLincoln Day event serving as a fundraiser for the counties’ Republican parties.

Michael Moon, chairman of the Genesee County Republican Party said just a few hundred tickets remain for the event and they’re going fast.

Several state representatives and senators plan to be in attendance.

The event takes place at the Birch Run Expo Center, 1160 North Beyer Road in the village of Birch Run, starting at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 4 p.m.

Michigan Democrats have organized a rally outside the stop through a Facebook page titled “Rally Against Donald Trump”.
