EDMORE, Mich. - Investigators are continuing to inspect some bones found buried in a Montcalm County yard.

The bones were found while a crew was working to repair a clogged sewer line along M-46 near Wyman Tuesday morning.

Michigan State Police and the Michigan State University Forensic Anthropology Department were called in to investigate.  A forensic expert believes the bones are human and have been in the ground for a very long time in an old family plot that may date back to the 1860's.  The bones appeared "jumbled up" and may have been disturbed when the sewer line went in in the 1950's.
