CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. — Several vehicles have been damaged by gunfire along I-94 and I-69 in July and August, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department. According to a Wednesday release from the Major Crimes Task Force, lab results show that damage to the vehicles is “consistent with a firearm.”

The incidents happened between July 29 and Aug. 21 on I-94 between 11 Mile Road and I-69 and on I-69 between M-60 and Jonesville Road  in Branch County.  It’s unclear how many vehicles were damaged, but investigators said no injuries were reported.

Officials said an initial report on Aug. 19 prompted several other people to come forward saying their vehicles had been damaged.
