Paws Before Boots Part 4: Into the Valley of Heroes

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- In the latest installment in our multi-part series on the K-9 Units at the Grand Rapids Police Department, we learn the unfortunate news that one of the police dogs we profiled over the winter passed away after a battle with cancer.

Watch the above video for the touching tribute and ceremony that occurs, when a GRPD K-9 Officer is laid to rest in the Valley of Heroes.

The Valley is located at Noah's Pet Cemetery in Kent County.
