MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. -- Police in Muskegon Heights are investigating after four people were shot early Sunday.

Police told FOX 17 the shooting happened in the 600 block of Hovey Ave. around 2:30 Sunday morning.

Four people were sent to the hospital, with two individuals remaining in critical condition as of Sunday evening, according to a source with the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office.

One victim has since been released from the hospital.

No suspects have been named yet and no arrests have been made.

A cousin of one of the victims injured told FOX 17 that victim is actually the brother of Marquis Gresham, the Muskegon Heights junior and stand-out varsity basketball player who was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in April 2014. Gresham was walking to a team basketball banquet at the time of the murder. Two people were later charged in connection to that shooting death.

Police would not comment Sunday night on any possible motive for this latest shooting. Police had initially reported just three people had been shot.
