LANSING, Mich. – Governor Rick Snyder announced Monday that U.S. flags on state buildings will be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday, to honor Michigan State Police Trooper Chad Wolf who died from injuries suffered on duty last week.

Residents, businesses, schools and anyone else flying a flag are encouraged to display the flag at half-staff.  Flags should be returned to full-staff on Wednesday.

Wolf, 38, was a seven-year veteran of the Michigan State Police, serving in the Second District and based in Taylor.

Wolf was patrolling on northbound I-75 near M-15 on his motorcycle when he was struck by another vehicle. He died later from his injuries.
