Driver killed after hitting trees

MARENGO TWP., Mich.– One person is dead after a car hit two trees in Calhoun County.

According to deputies, the accident happened at 2:35 Saturday morning along Partello Road. They say the man was driving northeast when he lost control of his car while driving around a curve, hitting two trees.

When deputies arrived on the scene, the driver was dead.

The crash remains under investigation, but deputies say speed may have been a factor.
