CENTREVILLE, Mich. — The St. Joseph County Prosecutor and Michigan State Police announced that Daniel Furlong, 65, has been arrested for the 2007 murder of Jodi Parrack.

Parrack was 11 years old when she was found dead on November 8, 2007 in a Constantine, Michigan cemetery.  She was last seen walking home from a friend's house.

Investigators say that DNA matched to Furlong in the murder investigation.  Furlong was arrested in late August for allegedly restricting and assaulting a 10-year-old neighbor with a dangerous weapon.  After DNA testing from that crime, Furlong's DNA matched DNA recovered in the Parrack case.

Furlong was checked out by the FBI in 2007 after the Parrack murder, but was never identified as a person-of-interest or a suspect.  Shortly after, he moved to White Pigeon, Michigan.

Furlong is being held without bond.
