It happened Thursday night in the parking lot of the store at 11901 Fulton Street East. Deputies say that within an hour of the theft the couple in the surveillance photo with this story tried to use a stolen credit card to but things at two different stores in Saranac.

However, since the victim had called and frozen her accounts already, their could not use the stolen card.

Good thing that the business in Saranac had CCTV cameras, because none of the ones at Meijer ever work. They put them up in the lots after one person was attacked, but they never maintained them after that and now they are just essentially “dummy” cameras that don’t monitor or record anything. Because Meijer cares about its customers. *snerk*
