KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Stevie, the kitten who was found severely ill is now adopted into a family and is in good health.  She was found back in July and after being examined at the Kentwood Cat Clinic it was determined that she needed undergo surgery to remove both of her eyes.

Since then, she's gained about 4 pounds and has been adopted into a new home.  Her new owners, Debbie and Rick Rolf, say she fits into the family perfectly.  Adding that her disability doesn't stop her from from causing mischief with the other house cats.

Saturday morning, Cheryl, the woman who originally found Stevie got to meet the kitten's parents for the first time at the Kentwood Cat Clinic.  During that time Cheryl was presented with a check for over 1,400 dollars... to reimburse her for the money she had spent on Stevie's treatment.  All the money was raised by the local community through a go-fund me account set up by the clinic.  Those involved in Stevie's recovery say it's a beautiful thing to see the community help this young kitten get a second chance at life.
