WEST MICHIGAN — After a couple of cool days and below normal temperatures Saturday and another cool day expected Sunday, look for high temperatures to start climbing in to the 70s on Monday. High temperatures across the area by mid-week should be pushing 80 degrees with sunshine too.

Average/normal highs for this time of year have us at about 75 degrees. Most locations topped out in the low/middle 60s on Saturday with a mixture of clouds and sunshine. Look for mid/upper 60s Sunday with more sunshine and westerly winds at about 6 – 12 mph.

Our next chance at seeing any precipitation doesn’t arrive (at this point) until late Thursday with a better chance on Friday as a cold front sweeps through the state. We’ll likely see some showers and thunderstorms at that time.

Our morning low temperature Saturday morning dipped in to the low/mid 40s, but Sunday’s morning low will likely be colder in the upper 30s north to low/mid 40s from Grand Rapids southward. In fact, some patchy frost is possible across our northern counties and in outlying areas along U.S. 10.
