KENTWOOD, Mich. — A Kentwood woman is $1 million richer after finding the winning Mega Millions ticket in a pile of old mail.

Linda Tuttle matched the winning numbers in the May 26 Mega Millions drawing: 01-39-52-69-72.

She bought the ticket at T&J Party Store at 2882 Shaffer SE.

During a recent visit to the store the clerk told her someone had won $1 million with a ticket purchased at the store.  Tuttle then went home to check a pile of some old mail where she found the ticket, learning she was the big winner, according to the Michigan State Lottery.

Tuttle claimed her prize Tuesday in Lansing.
