KENTWOOD, Mich.-- The first Grand Rapids-area Trader Joe's opened Friday morning in Kentwood.
Several people waited out all night for the 8 a.m. opening at the store. Trader Joe's announced in February that they were opening their first West Michigan location. They started hiring in August.

“It’s been a lot of work, but it’s been very exciting,” store captain Darla Sevok told FOX 17 earlier this week. “This store is feeling really comfortable here. It’s feeling very homey and we are excited to show it off to the community.”
The store is located at 3684 28th St. SE.
