Escaped Cass County inmate back in police custody

CASSOPOLIS, Mich. — Police in Cass County have arrested an inmate who’d been on the loose since Saturday after he walked away from work detail.

20-year-old Jason Graham was arrested without incident in Three Rivers on Sunday evening near Third Street and Broadway, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Three Rivers police and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest.

Graham escaped around 6:30 on Saturday morning. Officials said he was a low-risk inmate.

The incident remains under investigation.
