WALKER, Mich.--A tailgate-themed party is being held to help benefit a law enforcement charity on October 5th.

Sobie Meats will hold the fundraiser at their Walker location before the Lions game Monday night. All are welcome to the event, where food and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. Former pro football player Ray Bentley of the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengels will also be there to sign copies of his new book, and plans to donate a portion of his book sales from the event to the Thin Blue Line of Michigan.

Thin Blue Line of Michigan is a non-profit organization to help the families of injured, disabled, or deceased members of the law enforcement community. They also help the families of firefighters, dispatchers, corrections officers, EMT, EMS, and administrative clerks.

The event runs from 5 p.m. to  8 p.m. The address is 3450 Remembrance Rd NW, Walker, MI.
