COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. -- Following a FOX 17 Problem Solvers report on Wednesday, another woman has come forward with claims that a West Michigan contractor took thousands of dollars from her and didn't complete the work.

Marcie Siegrist said what started out as $2,400 deal to get granite counter tops has almost tripled because of Nick Mentalewicz, the owner of Blueprint Granite.

Siegrist claims she needed new counter tops because she was moving into a foreclosed home and needed them to pass inspection.

"It's a robbery, and there's no difference in what he is doing and what somebody going into a bank and store and robbing someone," Siegrist said. "He took our money, period."

"We had no counter tops whatsoever, and according to inspectors you have to  have counter tops, flooring and light to be able to move in," she said.

Siegrist said that while waiting for a response from Blueprint Granite, she had to buy temporary counter tops that cost hundreds of dollars.  She filed a claim and won the court case, but still hasn't been able to collect the money from Mentalewicz.

She even hired a collector.

"The collector will take 20 percent of what he collects, if he is able to collect anything," she said. "And then of course there is a fee."
