KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Morgan Jusick, 18, of Paw Paw has been identified by Western Michigan University officials as the student who was found dead on campus Saturday morning.

Jusick, a freshman, was found in cardiac arrest in her dorm in Henry Hall when first responders reached her Saturday. Attempts at revival were unsuccessful.

The cause of her death has yet to be determined, but Executive Director of University Relations Cheryl Roland said there is no indication of foul play. The cause of death will be found during the autopsy, which will take place this week.

Jusick was a 2015 graduate of Portage Central High School. She was majoring in university curriculum and interdisciplinary studies.

Roland said the university immediately began reaching out to Jusick’s hallmates, friends and classmates on Saturday to offer counseling and help in wake of her death.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
