Stafford benched as Lions get blown out by Cardinals

DETROIT, Mich — The Arizona Cardinals stormed into Ford Field on Sunday and beat the Lions, 42-17.

Detroit (0-5) turned the ball over six times including three interceptions by quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Stafford was benched in the 3rd quarter after throwing his third interception, Dan Orlovsky replaced him and threw a touchdown and an interception.

Jim Caldwell said Stafford is still the teams starter and will be back in there Sunday when the Lions host the Chicago Bears (2-3).

    I have to give Stafford credit, he lasted a lot longer than most players do before getting ruined by the team. Usually it is only a couple years before their talent and potential is destroyed.

    The Detroit Lions…where good talent goes to die.
