LANSING, Mich. — Former President Bill Clinton is expected to make a stop at Michigan State University this November to accept an award and give a speech.

MSU announced today that Clinton will be the keynote speaker at the Governor Jim Blanchard Public Service Forum on November 18. The forum will be held at the college’s Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

Clinton is the first recipient of the Spartan Statesmanship Award for Distinguished Public Service . The award, administered by the Department of Political Science in the College of Social Science, seeks to provide students with the opportunity to interact with and learn from national and international political leaders, diplomats, public servants, journalists and authors.

The award and forum was established by a $1 million dollar donation by former Michigan governor Jim Blanchard and his wife, Janet.
